LOCAL HOME BUILDERS ASSOCIATION: The Home Builders Association of Lexington can provide you with an array of services in your area. We suggest members get involed with committees and attend meetings to learn of the opportuinites to enhance their business within the HBAL. HBAL services include, but are not limited to the following:
- General membership meetings / Networking opportunities – These events provide an opportunity to exchange ideas and information and also opportunities to make contacts to grow your business. Programs feature topics of interest for all members.
- The Association represents the member by promoting the industry and continually striving to provide quality housing.
- The local HBA may assist members in selling their products and / or services through home shows, table-top nights, and Home Tours.
- The local HBA provides educational seminars on variety of subjects to keep members one step ahead of their competition. The Association is active in your local government involvement to obtain more favorable laws, including zoning, building codes or subdivision regulations.
- The Association is active in many volunteer, civic services that provide public recognition to members.

STATE ASSOCIATION: The HBA of Kentucky, based in Frankfort, works for members on a daily basis. Aside from legislation and regulations which are constantly being monitored, the Association also offers members valuable savings through the group insurance programs. Services provided by HBAK include:
- Constant monitoring of state legislation.
- Group insurance programs – Health, Life, Disability, Dental, Buy-Sell Agreements, Cancer, Builders’ Risk, Liability, Automobile, HBIS Workers’ Compensation, AGC Self-Insurance Fund Workers’ Compensation, and Retirement Planning.
- Kentucky Builders Journal Magazine – this bi-monthly magazine is sent to all HBAK members.
- Full-time staff to work with members on any housing matters or association affairs.
- Office space available for members when visiting the State Capital.
- Staff visits to local associations for general membership programs, home show promotion and membership recruiting.
- Educational seminars – courses are developed by members for members and can be taught throughout the state.
- Liaison between the Department of Housing and the Kentucky Housing Corporation.
- Scheduling of speakers for local association membership meetings.
- Three board of directors meetings per year to inform officers and state directors about the housing industry.
- Liaison between local executive officers and state office staff to inform members of state and national services.
- Statewide membership promotion by membership drives with sponsors and fun events.

- Statewide registered builders / remodelor program developed to professionalize the building industry.

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION: The National Association of Home Builders has a staff of approximately 250 experts in various areas of the housing industry. These experts monitor any national legislation or regulation which may affect the housing industry.
