Member Types

The HBA membership is broken into six different types of members; Builders, Remodelers, Developers, Associates, Associate Builders, and Associate Remodelers.  Each classification requires a differnt type of application.

MEMBERSHIP TYPES

Builders – As stated, this classification is for new home builders.  See “Process of Builder/Remodeler Application” below for the steps to get your application approved as soon as possible.

Remodelers – This classification consist of companies who are involved in residential/commercial remodeling and additions.  See “Process of Builder/Remodeler Application” below for the steps to get your application approved as soon as possible.

Developers – As stated, this classification is for land developers who may also serve as new home builders.  See “Process of Builder/Remodeler Application” below for the steps to get your application approved as soon as possible.

Associates – Associate members are companies who are involved in the home building industry but are dont directly involved in preforming any of the above mentioned work.  Examples of Associate Members include; framers, mortgage lenders, insurance agencies, and material suppliers.  See “Process of Associate Application” below for the steps to get your application approved as soon as possible.

Associate Builder/Remodeler – This classification is perfect for companies who are new to the home building business but want to be on the same professional level as other members in the home building industry.  If you are a builder/remodeler and can not supply five different home owner references, you will need to join as an Associate Builder/Remodeler.  The benefits you receive are no different then any of the other member types – just a different type of classification.  This applicaiton is not available online so please contact the Director of Membership to request an application.  See “Process of Associate Builder/Remodeler Application” below for the steps to get your application approved as soon as possible.

Affiliate Member – An Affiliate is someone other than the primary member who wants to be actively involved in the Association.  The company must maintain its membership in order for the Affiliate member to to remain active.  There are several types of Affiliate memberships each with its own dues rate.  For more information about the dues and the benefits, download a copy of the Affiliate Member Application.
